The Strongsville case behind Netflix’s The Crash

Seventeen-year-old Mackenzie Shirilla drove into a brick building in Strongsville, Ohio, on July 31, 2022, killing her boyfriend Dominic Russo and their friend Davion Flanagan. She survived. After examining video and other evidence, a judge found that she had deliberately caused the crash and convicted her of murder in 2023.
